Southern University System Foundation

The Southern University System Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation established to secure financial support for each of the five campuses of the Southern University System. The Foundation is a voluntary institute of business and professional leaders, proudly incorporated to provide broader educational advantages to our students, encourage research among our faculty, and advance the University's role in helping to build an increasingly functional society.

The partnership will connect TMCF, the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community and its 47 member-schools, including the public Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Predominantly Black Institutions with VCP, the only such Center for Philanthropy at a HBCU. VCP seeks to educate the socially conscious student, faculty member, volunteer and practitioner in the emerging field of philanthropic studies by way of its seven program strands.

TMCF and VCP recognize they have the following areas of mutual alignment: (a) capacity building programs; (b) research initiatives; and (c) HBCU and PBI specialized programming.
