Privacy Policy

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (The Fund) takes your personal privacy very seriously. The Fund does not collect and store personally identifiable information from our Website users unless they knowingly and voluntarily provide it to us. Our Website is open to everyone, and we do not require you to enter any personal information prior to viewing it. If you contact us through our Website or via email, we will use the information you supply for the purpose of providing the service(s) you have requested. We may ask you if you want to be included on our contact list, and if you agree, we may contact you from time to time.

Our policy for children under 13 years of age is that we encourage parents or guardians to spend time with their children and closely monitor their Internet activities. The Fund does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 without their parent/guardian consent.

You can have your name/information/resume removed from our contact list at any time by sending an email to the following address: [email protected]. Your resume will not be removed from any paperbound books already printed or in the printing process, but it can be withheld from future printings.

You may wonder whether your personal information can be gathered just by visiting our Website. Most web servers “track” visitors by logging certain technical information such as the browser type and the Internet protocol (IP) address. We do not use this information to identify you personally. It is used only to enhance our online service. Similarly, “cookies” are used only to make our Website more responsive to the needs of our customers. “Cookies” are pieces of data placed on your computer that, for example, help our computers understand which parts of our Website are visited most often. A cookie can also be used to store information about you so that you do not have to provide it again. Again, we do not use cookies or tracking data to identify you personally.

Our Website contains links to other websites from other companies, institutions and organizations, and these companies have their own Privacy Policies, and are not covered under this Privacy Policy. It is always a good idea to check any website’s Privacy Policy before you provide them with any personal information.
