Annual HBCU Fly-in

The HBCU Fly-in is an annual event hosted by U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-NC) and U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) to provide HBCU leaders, job creators, and policymakers with the opportunity to discuss innovative avenues for promoting educational achievement, bolstering cross-sector partnerships and meeting the ever-shifting demands of the American workforce.

During the event, HBCU leaders get a chance to reacquaint members of Congress and administration officials with their priorities and discuss ways to better work with the federal government. TMCF convenes its member-school Presidents, Chancellors, and Law School Deans in Washington, DC to participate in this event, but to also meet with them to discuss potential capacity-building opportunities, TMCF’s legislative priorities and best practices on Capitol Hill.
